transmissions

new to banshee's, i have about 4 bikes locally i am seriously considering buying but was wondering about transmissions. I have seen a fair amount of the banshees for sale that have cut /uncut trannys, lock up this that and the other, rebuilt trannys. Do Banshees have issues with the transmissions? For some reason i thought cut and lock up transmissions were more for just racing not all around riding and dunning. One of the 4 bikes has a pro-mod tranny. All these terms seem like pricey tranny work, but now im thinking i need to find one already built up instead of the stock w pipe/jets bikes i was originally shopping for. WTF am i supposed to be shopping for here

You should be looking for a Pro Mod, Stock mod, stock cut, EZ cut, or EZ shift. All just different names for a tranny that is just slightly massaged in an effort to obtain nice smooth shifts at any RPM on 70+ hp motors.

Steer clear of the Over Rides. Those are pretty much for drag racing. There are a few guys doing what they call a Dunable Over Ride. They are supposed to be able to take some regular trail abuse, but it's on the rider to correctly use it or the shift forks will bend.

Lock up is a component used to aid the clutch in the fight against slip as springs alone are not always enough on built stuff.

I'd buy one with a stock trans and have Redline Racing build u a trans

IMO you are best off buying a bike that has the most stock motor you can find and has the most suspension upgrades you can find. You would be foolish to take someone's word for what is or isn't done in a motor. At the very least an immediate tear down and reassemble should be done so you know where the motor stands.

bone stock bike with no mods..   1800 to 2500

take to shop spend 14000 to 18000 to "build it the way you ( they) want..

purchase a bike with as many upgrades or search for one with pretty close to fresh build for 5000 thats high quality..

HMMMMMM

ABE has a beautiful bike for sale for a good price considering..    and the "its to far" is a bull shit excuse  i have shipped many bikes across the country.   just dont deal with shady people and dont expect an absolutely brand new bike..

im no stranger to shipping bikes i just wanted to be able to look at it in person before i fork out a few grand to a complete stranger. I shipped a bike out from Phoenix last spring that paid $2K for before the $400 shipping.

I was anticipating spending 2K on a bike and another 1300 on new suspension. I dont need a monster just a strong base to start with
