IF YOU KNOW IT ALL WHY DID YOU ASK? I DISAGREE WITH YOU, NOT TRYING TO START ANYTHING EITHER. I HAVE NOTICED THAT IT DOESNT MAKE YOU GO ANY STRAIGHTER AT ALL, BUT IT LAUNCHES BETTER. BUT THATS ME I GUESS, SORRY I SAID ANYTHING

Sorry if I offended you MRMOONEY I wasnt trying to make you look dumb or trying to be "above you" in any way. The reason why I asked was to see what your theory was on it, I don't feel I know everything which is why I'm asking for your theory. Sorry if I offended you

a blaster and banshee axle are interchanable it bolts right on, and we all know if you just flip the stock rear rims since they are offset the bike gets an inch wider, thats a cool trick to flip the hub, how much shorter does that make it? and id agree the less width the less twitch at high speed......

put it this way.ever try and turn a piece of pipe in a pipe vice.where is it easier to turn way out near the end of the pipe ? or closer to the vice.a narrower lighter axle is less rotating mass making it easier for your motor to turn the wheels.when i got my stocker narrowed from metal tech i noticed my bike launched way straighter. like an arrow. now with the 8 lb lonestar it launches harder and straighter than ever.

so if what youre saying is true then well lets see a top fuel dragster would hook up just as hard if the rear axle was 12" longer ? are you saying it has nothing to do with weight distribution or are you not shure what youre saying? yes a narrow axle will make some difference on the distribution of the weight to the tires, they will be closer in line with the center of gravity this helps the weight stay center which in turn helps keep the bike running straight. The real question is since your seeking traction do you have an extended swing arm? That will be a noticeable difference.

I just sent a +6 inch swing arm to get chromed. Instead of changing axles, I decided to turn the paddles and rims around. I just bought some 22x11x8 with 8 paddles. I can't wait to get the bike together and see how it runs.

I use to have stock swingarm and duner v-paddles.

I see it this way, which is faster A banshee or Rz 350 streetbike? the streetbike .

why? beacause of wind resistance (as discussed in the top speed estimate post) . there is so much wind resistance on a quad a lot may come from the the 4 tires sticking way out there, if a banshee had streetbike wheels, than it should come close to the streetbike? right?

my point is... Narrow axle makes you more like a streetbike.

just my opinion.
