scottt07
I have a 98 banshee thats bone stock and its hard to get it started when its been sitting overnight or for a few days..once it starts it runs excellent and starts up easily the rest of the day.. Both cylinders read 125 psi. I still have the tors assembly on the carbs but I've Illiminated the brain so its disabled.. Im running motul 800 40:1 stock jetting with 91 octane (best I can buy at the pump in my area) I have the airmix screws 1-3/4 out. I did a leakdown test and have no leaks and the intake boots are in good shape. Tried new sparkplugs with proper gap.. I cleaned my carbs and soaked them in carb solvent for an hour.. Any suggestions?

scottt07
U think i should try a larger slow jet? Im not sure which jet I should be tinkering with. We have another shee the same year bone stock as well same jetting and it starts one kick always

Surfrjag
carb bowl could be switched around or float height could be off a little. I would consider checking those first
scottt07
The one with the jet in the bowl is on the left currently.. is that correct?
hoppedupandcutdown
The one with the jet in the bowl is on the left currently.. is that correct? Yes, do you have a good o-ring on the choke plunger?
scottt07
Ill have to check it in the morning.Im gonna go ahead and double check the bowls as well just to make sure somehow they are not swapped. Also When I turn on the choke It almost sounds like an air leak. When I turn the choke off the noise goes away.. I have the crossover tube inbetween the carbs its in good shape and fits nice and tight still. My other shee doesnt make the noise when the chokes on do they sell the oring for the choke or do I have to buy the whole assembly?
