gusto
Does it get harder with bigger hp? If a bike has 70hp will it still be harder to shift with a lockup?
locogato11283
Does it get harder with bigger hp? If a bike has 70hp will it still be harder to shift with a lockup? As opposed to no lockup? Yes. If a lockup is doing its job, HP shouldn't matter that much. It will still be hard to shift without an override or at least a pro-mod. locogato11283
I've never had an issue shifting without a pro mod. As a matter of fact two sponsors on here said they're unnecessary if your trans is in good working order. One happens to be talked about very heavily on here. There's also several members with high HP bikes that have said the same I'm sure it might make things easier but some people i think believe it is 100% necessary to have one done if you're pushing more than 50-110hp You've never really had a bike running either.. So, moving forward, any lockup that is functioning properly and getting power to the ground WILL make it harder to shift under power, especially with good traction. RagunCajun
I had redline take out my override, do a pro mod, then replace any thing that needed to be replaced so it shifted well. Theres nothing wrong with my bike. It doesn't shift well or at all when wot because it's not suppose to.

RagunCajun
If you don't understand a lockup holds the clutch pack tight which hurts shifting, you are ignorant. Ill just go ahead and call up redline and tell him he sold me garbage that doesn't shift
