here is the hole im talking about they are common so i have heard but mine leaks air bad so how can i seal it

I've never heard of that, but I have not been around that long either.

Either way I myself would take the cylinder off and take it to a welding shop and have it TIG welded.

But if it is that common I'm sure guys have easier quicker ways.

That hole has no connection to the intake. The gasket is leaking. I've ran plenty of motors with the hole there. Copper spray or you can use 1211 very lightly on the gasket.

^ That. A little 1211 on the gasket, goes a long way.

I've always assembled gaskets using regular motor oil on all of the motors I've worked on, and that includes boosted Mitsu 4G63's!!

Never leaks, and super easy to remove.

But there is one caveat.

The surfaces have to be OEM.

If any sort of rotary scotch brite pad is used to remove a previous owners 1211 or RTV bullshit, the gasket sealing surfaces are fuckt and you will be forever using RTV or the like.

sheerider11 is right! The gasket is leaking. It just so happens the air is escaping from that point.

Lots of cubs have holes along their intake tracts...It's the bottom of the bolt holes, below the threads.

i stopped using gaskets on the intakes about 2 years ago.  right after i started using leakdown tester a LOT...  i just straight import grey, mega grey, hondabond, yamabond, grey etc whatever you use..

and naysayers,,  you just sealed the complete case together metal to metal..  why is this any different

its leaking into the threads from the inside of the intake  there is a tenny tiny bridge between the inside of the intake to the threaded area.  yours is probably cracked or some ported screwed it up.  i see it a lot on ported, or overly tightened cylinders or threads filled with rtv or some sort of sealer

my whole motor lives on 1211.... fuck 2nd guessing gaskets these days..... 1211 shit right on build  = passing leak down 99.999999% of the time vs hoping a gasket has sealed right.

im with you there man if theres 2 surfaces, then im applying 1211 lol
