J-Madd
What do you think about making it lighter, spring loaded and aluminum backing plate? Nice product
locogato11283
Jerry, can you explain the use of 7 or 8 plates? Does that require a modded pressure plate or what?

possum
Can aluminum back plates hold up to power?
BANSHEE HP
In my experience no. Seen quite a few cracked.

J-Madd
In my experience as well. Thats why I was wondering.Good to know. I ran one for a while without issue with the plate itself, but kept breaking steels and fibers with that particular basket. edit: the particular basket I ran broke steels and fibers. It was NOT a Chariot. I forget the brand.
Chariot Performance
The back plate here is not aluminum it is 4130 high alloy tool steel. The above comment about breaking steels and fibers with that particular basket is not referring to mine because I just made these.
locogato11283
Jerry, can you address the 7/8 plate setup?
Chariot Performance
You can not make it any lighter then we did and an aluminum back plate is a recipe for disaster. As far as springs there is no need. They do not add anything but weight and extra cost.
