willaduncan
I'm running stock for now I'll see what all I can find... I'm kind of limited on what I can get due to size Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sheerider1026
Even if I had 125w of light, I'd still be using this 5ah battery.
sheerider1026
The battery size just determines how long you can run the lights with the motor off.
willaduncan
Chrome battery just sent me a brand new battery, I only had to pay 8 dollar shipping! I will definitely continue to do business with them for their awesome customer service (I was outside of any warranty). blowit
So did the batt fix your issues? 12.5V is NOT full charge on a 12V battery. 12.7V is standard but with surface charge (just after charging), they are typically over 13V. A rectifier issue can certainly have a draw as the diode pack can leak to ground. That is easily found with a meter though and there are usually other symptoms. Make sure your charging system is getting that battery to full charge. I commonly charge a battery, then let it sit over night unplugged and see if it holds voltage. Bad batteries have either sulfated plates (reduced amps) or shorted plates (voltage leaks down). Just curious.
sheerider1026
I suggested hooking a load ( some sort of 12v light) directly to the battery with the engine off and rectifier disconnected. This should rule out everything except the battery. See what the voltage drops down to, and or to see if it evens powers the light.
willaduncan
I haven't received the new battery yet... I know the stator is good and I know the harness is good they are both brand new. The rectifier is a brand new trail tech as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
willaduncan
Everything is literally brand new... When the battery was first hooked up it powered it all just fine then after sitting a few months now it doesn't do shit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
