Banshee launch issues

I'm not running straight 110. I'm not sure where octane numbers came in but I run 2 gallons 110 and 3 93, comes to 100, mixed 32:1. When it comes to the port, I originally asked for his opinion on what port to run as this is still a trail bike first. I just also like to race,

I did not. I admit, I was anxious to get it running and assembled it. I just checked squish again, on the left cylinder, checked in 4 places, 12,3,6,9 o'clock I showed less than .001 variance. From .066-.067, so perhaps it is my base gasket

If you don't feel like pulling the head, pull a pipe off and rotate the motor over to BDC. See where the edge of the piston sits in relation to the bottom of the exhaust.

Did you measure your base gasket thickness? It sounds like the problem because those dome specs are not bad.

What dome specs would be better, or what would you run instead? No being a dick or anything. Just curious as to what you'd run for better performance.

there is not a better for any and all situations that why custom domes are custom

the numbers mean

23cc

13* angle for the banshee piston

.115" is the step that gives you the squish clearance

what it doesn't tell you is the squish band width

Okay, pulled the right side pipe, put a finger against the piston as I pulled the kickstarter over and the piston drops just below the lower edge of the port. I cannot give a value but it's noticeable

the piston to port isn't going to tell you anything really since hjr may not have lowered the port

yes the band width is how wide the flat outer portion of the dome is before it gets to the curved section and then the spark plug

if that makes sense....

I've done some reading on squish tonight, I know what you're referring to. I have 4 pieces of solder from squish tests tonight. The flat portion from the cylinder wall to the inner edge of the dome measures at .415, I checked all 4 and they're all almost identical

10mm is very common, what you need to be concerned with is that squish clearance though. if your step is .115" with a .020" base gasket and a 4mil your squish should be around .048" ish and its not according to you, sooo your base gasket must be like .040" witch is odd.

Ok, if it were me. I'd pull the head and get some flexible feeler gauges in there to see how far down it is sitting. Say you get 10 thousandths to make the piston sit flush with the exhaust port. Taking that much out of the base gasket would not only make it perform better just by adjusting the ports, but then your squish would be pretty acceptable with 55-56 thou.

What base gasket is in there anyway?
