That was some pretty funny shit.I'm still laughing about the boost bottle/eye candy comment. Lol, I'll admit... I found the boost bottle bit hilarious too. That pic's got me rollin' as well. 1_bansheenutt
Hey guys, I'm not into dirt bikes to much, I love the quads.....but take this into consideration. Look at the weight difference, even if there is a HP difference, it would still be hard for me too see the shee coming out on top. I love my shee, but I don't go out looking to run a dirt bike, simply b/c its out of class not comparing apples to apples here. I guess it really depends on the operator and the distance, conditions of the run. Sounds like a good trial here, run 'em and post the results. TheNewGuy
shit i was 6th pinned on the beach at spinreel (sand)...and my friends KX500 blew by me like i was standing still...now i dont have the slowest bike in the world and i definately dont have the fastest but obviously the big bore 2 strokes have some nuts, i dont think a banshee could outrun it w/o some definate mods... yamiboy
i love reading these threads too... its very fun to see two people argue over whos faster, better yet when they are so far apart. ive lost to many dirtbikes but i am a very experienced rider. out in the desert the riders are different than the ones that might ride forest or what not... imnot too sure but all i know is at glamis drags and gordons drags in the sand (no determined distance) all the drag banshees in glamis wont beat most cr250's out there with a proper rider. now i have beaten a dirt bike before and that was mainly cuz he didnt know how to shift his bike in a race and i did. so it all comes down to an old racer saying.... "Put up or Shut up!!!" thats my $.

theeechozen1
SDD I almost pissed myself after that pic your shee has to have mucho $$$$ in it to beat a cr 5 double O up the hill, assloads of power and torque in those bikes. I have had a 83 cr480 and a 92 500, the 480 alone would crush the fastest banshee I have ever ridden and it was a air-cooled paperweight. I know that stock for stock doesn't mean much because hardly anyone on here has a stock bike, but you have your work cut out for you if you want to beat the king of the hill. banshee 35-37 h.p. 380 lbs cr500 58-60 h.p. 232 lbs not exact but you get the idea i'm not trying to stir the shit, but I have never seen a banshee running under 417cc's without tons of motorwork even come close, I beat all of the piped shees I ran up the hill on my 99 kx250 and I am a fat bastard. Chemical Castration
W'ell see. I've changed my mind about my porting setup and have decided to go full drag on methanol, I'm gonna buy some maxxise 4 snow tires when he wants to race me. Also im gonna do my best to lose as much weight as i can from my stock frame, and I'm gonna be running ultralite paddles. My bike should weigh considerably less than before. I'm gonna do anything I can to beat my cousins damn cr 500.
yamaha350
hey mooney i remember that race, i would have raced him to but i had already beat him at the hill. was a good laugh though. used over half a tank of gas on a guy thinking a crf450 could beat me. also won a grand from my bosses friend at winchester bay, said he could beat me on a crf450.
