I know you need to do a 6th gear pull wot then cut the engine and cost to a stop. Now, the question is, do I need to hold it wide open through all the gears to 6th gear or can I take it a little easy up to 6th then pin it? The reason I'm asking is because the thing doesn't want to shift well under pull power. I know I need to get the trans cut but I want to wait til the winter to pull the motor apart again. I tell people to do it that way and just get told that the fuel will wash the color, but IMO good color won't wash. Quote
