since now, get with the times Bennet new generation of most educated Yamaha Banshee mechanics coming up through the ranks, fuck leakdowns bruh, lubing starter fluid is the new new way to get shit running

Why leakdown when you have every single reason in the world to believe the carbs are the issue? Even motooutcastxxx agrees this is the culprit of most if not all of my issues here...

when a 2stroke is running the whole crank case is filled with airfuel mixture, if you got airleaks its impossible to get the tune right (i swear someone already posted this) so your motor is pulling in air without the fuel, worse case scenario and it will get worse, it leans out and melts down from the heat produced from such a lean condition

thats why you keep getting told to make sure the motor passes a leakdown test before bothering to chase down carb issues

there is a dude called Sparkys Garage on youtube go watch some of his banshee fixin' vids

Nobody was disrespected I even said I was grateful for him helping me out, but it still resulted in wrong bowl. My drain screw was stripped on my old bowl and we swapped a spare he had which apparently was wrong. He's a great dude. This choke is hopefully the issue. People hating on me for no reason. I never said anything negative or name blamed...

No one is hating, trust me I've been where you're at and it wasn't even all that long ago, you just need to listen and think before you type. You really made it sound like the person who helped you was the reason the wrong bowl was on there. I too ended up with a set of carbs with 2 right bowls on them. The only difference is I did already know it was an issue from everything I've read on here.

Many of these guys on here have probably forgot more about Banshees than I have and will ever know, they have this shit down to a science, listen to what they say. Whether they say it nicely or not so nicely it's generally pretty sound advice. 2 right bowls is no doubt a huge issue and it WILL NOT start for shit. However, a leakdown test should ALWAYS be done after cracking the motor open, I won't run it without doing one first. With that being said I do have a leakdown tester I might possibly be willing to part with, if you're too lazy like me to build one. PM if you're interested...

Turns out, new bowl fixed cold start issue, but not lean left. Turns out lean left cylinder, was actually extremely rich right, as the main jet fell out of the right carb. Bumped up mains to 280's. She runs excellent.Went on a nice two hour ride the other day and she totally ripped and came back in one piece most importantly.
