04BRAAP
Leak down test pass, clean carbs , compression test done about 140 each side, new plugs , switched plugs wires ( it didn't follow ), I don't know what else to check . Right pipe still has popping noise . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

trickedcarbine
Popping is typically lean. What is the current jetting set up at? I saw you had a cool head but don't recall the dome size. What CC domes?

04BRAAP
The current jetting is 290 at 4500 ft elevation. It's on 91 octane and mixed 32:1 w A/F needle out one turn both carbs . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
trickedcarbine
Yes, you should be able to pop the head off and see the engraving/stamping of some sort on the domes. You might find that your popping could be detonation. It would make sense to at least pull the carbs off and look in at the reeds to see if one is flopping around and not closing or even broken. trickedcarbine
"The mods on the bike are v force reeds, pro design cool head, fmf pipes with K&N filter. I was told the compression is about 160 on both sides maybe a little less on the left." I'm betting you got 20cc domes in there if that info above is correct and it's not ported. What fuel type again? Also that jetting could be fattened up a touch IMO, but 3000 feet up is kinda high. Could be ok. What do the plugs look like? None of them were broken or chipped . You could see a bit of light at the end so I flipped them and they sealed correctly . I did notice a couple Of spots of light . Do you think that would be major enough to to cause that problem ?. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Compression is 140 and I'm doing 91 octane mixed 32:1. The previous owner did 93 octane and mixed 40:1 and it still popped . trickedcarbine
Interesting. Might as well pop the head and make sure all is well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
