Rage_kage Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 I know these are not popular carbs but I got them for a pretty good deal. Little did I know they are a little more complex when it comes to tuning. I put these on a stock bore/crank motor with a play port. I started my jetting at 32.5 on the pilot and 320 on the main. Warmed the motor up and took a long straight pass. It cut out at from 3/4 throttle and up, upped the main to 340, I was able to get it on the pipe and rev it out even though it was choppy in some areas. So research was done and turns out aside from adjusting the main, pilot and needle you can also adjust the needle valve. Something I've never ran into. So the question I am trying to ask is, do these carbs have a tendency to run a larger main? And what tuning can be achieved through changing the needle valve? Quote
draggins10 Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 Hmmmm I have these carbs, but sleeper06 did the tuning on them. I forget what main jet he put in, and My quads not home to check. Try Sending him a PM, he can probably help you Quote
oldskool Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 You didn't say what pipes or airbox, but jets sound too big for stock motor with some porting, especially 340 main Quote

oldskool Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 like said if you can get up with sleeper06, he will put you spot on. I'm thinking 27.5 pilot and 280 main on your bike. Quote
Rage_kage Posted September 4, 2015 Author Report Posted September 4, 2015 390 main, 3rd clip, 32.5 pilot. Bogged in 1st and second gear then about threw me off the back 3-6 Quote
