Check your float height on your carbs 28s are hard to get bowls on with out finesse and you should never force them on it knocks the float height out on them . Just my opinion when I began tuning it was with 28s and plugs looked like that till I got the nack of smoothly taking apart and putting back together. Is one pipe hotter to the touch then the other?

im fairly sure there 28's i took calipers to the motor side of the carbs and it read 28.00mm unless i measured it wrong, weird thing is it has the stock stamp on them, 2GU 00 so i dont know. maybe they were bored at some point. anyways. yea  ill double check float height. and one pipe is slightly hotter than the other yes
