trickedcarbine
The newer master definitely moves more fluid which is needed when moving the extra piston in the caliper. It also allows for a much more progressive action which is much nicer then the all or nothing the stockers give ya.
fastbanshee8
I did the yfz caliper swap on my Shee this last spring, and I did not use the YFZ master cylinder. It works just fine with the stock Shee master.
sheerider11
I did the yfz caliper swap on my Shee this last spring, and I did not use the YFZ master cylinder. It works just fine with the stock Shee master.I'm sure it does. But a guy blowing through a hose can work too. It's the fact that it's better. If your going to upgrade why not do it 100% instead of 50% ?
trickedcarbine
Again, just another situation where people "think" something is just fine because it was better then what they had, but in reality, they have no clue just how much better it could be. m671054
Real question is whats the best setup for the rear? Dont mind cutting out a new caliper stay. Been looking at front dirtbike calipers but not real hard. Im aware of the brembro,250r and old mindbender setup. Im looking for cheap, abundant and effective. Any thoughts Edited August 21, 2015 by m671054

The front right yfz 450 caliper goes on with little work, laeger posted a 4 piston old school street bike caliper that required some custom parts. The 250r is also gonna require lots of custom parts as well. Cuervo Racing has a new kit for the banshee that happens to come with everything to be bolt on. It is a BREMBO opposing piston caliper, stainless line for your requested length, proper caliper plate, and any needed hardware. It's Tits! gusto
Do I need 08 and up yfz450 calipers to go with the newer master cylinder or will older cavillers work just as well with the newer style master cylinder?
willaduncan
I know I'm just running a little 4 mil but what's wrong with stock calipers and a 450 master... Works great for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
trickedcarbine
My neighbors 79 F-250 still runs... The bed still kinda has a gaping hole in it, but if you load everything on the left it works great!
