Strm Trpr
Anyone rockin the RAD-LOC?
Strm Trpr
I do like the Cascade unit, anyone rockin one of those? How do you know the axle nut is tight enough on the sprocket hub so the bearings live long happy lives?
Strm Trpr
The RPM unit is sick as fuck, but double the price of Cascade and the RAD-LOC.
m671054
The durablue and rpm look to wedge the threads sideways to lock where the rest pinch down. Radloc pictured with that clip looks to be for a honda? I would go durablue or rpm if done again
Strm Trpr
The durablue 3pc only works w/their Eliminator Axle. This is the durablue lock nut for other axles.
m671054
Yeah looks like the allen pinches the threads sideways
bansheesandrider
I have had a genuine Cascade(it's NOT made by ModQuad, theirs is a knockoff of Cascade's) on my bike for 20 years. When I install it, I put blue locktite on the axle and pinch bolt threads and tighten it up. It has never given me a bit of problems or backed off. Cascade originated most of the billet dress up items and ModQuad came along afterwards and copied them making cosmetic changes.
Strm Trpr
I'm torn, Black RAD-LOC or Brushed Cascade. If Cascade's was anodized black it'd be done...
