115mm or 120mm rod for 10mm Super Serval?

Recommended Posts

i have been looking at the diff piston/ rod combo's.

my thought are.  the larger pin should support the piston much better in the larger strokes.  as far as the rotax to 250r piston differences i'm not to sure.   i have a 10 mil crank with ck136? rods on it.

i dont know anything of the 120 rod. is it a common rod with the same pin diameters on both ends as the 115 ? you could probly look up its dimensions and compare that to the 115 then you would know if youll need any special machining of parts or different width thrust washer and bearing. ive mixed and matched oddball rods to different crankshafts and its like a puzzle to figure out how to make it work

tricked, check out the super cubs.

10387M07200, same one they run in super cub (http://cpindinc.com/pub/view_product/69?lm=3&name=CPI-7264-120)

there is the 2434M07200. (http://cpindinc.com/pub/view_product/71?lm=3&name=CPI-7264LR-120)

Why not run the 125.3mm rod? http://cpindinc.com/pub/view_product/72?lm=3&name=CPI-7264LR-125

Gonna go with the first layou you posted. It keeps the base gasket as minimal as possible, perfect for keeping ports lower.
