trickedcarbine
Anybody have any thoughts on the rods for 10mm crank for a CP Serval? I know there are plenty of piston options for the 115mm rods, just curious if the 120 rod is a better option and if anyone knows what the piston options would be. camatv
i have been looking at the diff piston/ rod combo's. my thought are. the larger pin should support the piston much better in the larger strokes. as far as the rotax to 250r piston differences i'm not to sure. i have a 10 mil crank with ck136? rods on it. registered user
i dont know anything of the 120 rod. is it a common rod with the same pin diameters on both ends as the 115 ? you could probly look up its dimensions and compare that to the 115 then you would know if youll need any special machining of parts or different width thrust washer and bearing. ive mixed and matched oddball rods to different crankshafts and its like a puzzle to figure out how to make it work
registered user
What size piston you plan to use ? Theres probly 5 or 6 choices in 72mm with 18mm pin. Not sure all the options in a smaller size

trickedcarbine
tricked, check out the super cubs. 10387M07200, same one they run in super cub (http://cpindinc.com/pub/view_product/69?lm=3&name=CPI-7264-120) there is the 2434M07200. (http://cpindinc.com/pub/view_product/71?lm=3&name=CPI-7264LR-120) Why not run the 125.3mm rod? http://cpindinc.com/pub/view_product/72?lm=3&name=CPI-7264LR-125 Gonna go with the first layou you posted. It keeps the base gasket as minimal as possible, perfect for keeping ports lower.

registered user
the ports will be lower but the timing will remain the same with either piston because both pistons are using about the same deck height. .012 on one and .015 on the other

Race gas set up.10 super serval on 110 with LED inframes should be a bad ass motor. I mean we all saw what a pump gas motor can make. Looking forward to seeing some charts on this motor for sure!
