ninjamaster
Why the heck would you put another motor in a shee? Even a cr500 I would rather mod my shee. You could get the same amount of power out of a highly moded shee. It will proally cost less and be less stressful. Why put a discontinued bike motor in that is not tuned for this weight and rear wheel torque? explane
locogato11283
i am the one who did the swap with a cr500 engine. here is my site. http://dirtriders.freewebspace.com/photo3.html its got alot of up close pictures and what not. mine is set up for hillclimbing and trailriding and i wouldnt trade it for anything. i think it could very easily be set up for any type of riding. its a fairly straight forward swap if you have some knowledge of how things work and you are gonna have to have a welder and torch. check the site and if u have any questions let me know. tyler
Nightrider
Why the heck would you put another motor in the shee.Even the CR500 I'll tell you why, because stock a CR500 puts out about 60 horsepower and 50 ft lbs of torque and the Cr500's havent changed in 15 years, much like the banshee engine, which makes parts easy to find. AS for reliability the CR500s are one of the best big bore 2strokes
trigg
i race against one over here in the uk in mx,very fast it is as well. i have spoken to the owner and he informed me that crank had to be rebalanced because it vibrated so bad but now it's as sweet as a nut. jiff
locogato11283
there were alot of ppl sayin that it would vibrate so bad that i wouldnt be able to ride it. well they were wrong. mine doesnt vibrate anymore than a cr500 dirtbike. maybe its the way i put the engine in, who knows. but yea the power is rediculous.
