ninjamaster Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Hey, I posted about my shee back fireing and smokeing. Someone said that my jetting is off. How could it have gotten off? It is ohmost a new quad. It ran fine. I just put 24:1 instead of 32:1. Maybe thats the problem? Quote
bigboreshee Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Its probably the 24:1 ratio, that awfully rich. I'm running 32:1 on fresh motor and thats pretty darn rich. I dont know bout the backfiring but 24:1 would definately be smokey. Quote
ninjamaster Posted November 28, 2003 Author Report Posted November 28, 2003 Do I need to do anything? Did I screw up my jetting? Could I just run 32:1 and mix it in with the 24:1? Thanks for your help Quote
txblueshee Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Back the mixture off to at least 32:1 no more that 40:1 and pop in a new set of plugs. Mike Quote
Banchetta Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Jetting is probably off because of this cold weather that just set in....You have to richen it for the colder weather since the air is denser....1 main jet size for every 15 degrees difference... Quote
ninjamaster Posted November 30, 2003 Author Report Posted November 30, 2003 Thanks for the advice mike. Quote
