To much oil = lean condition?

Recommended Posts

To answer the question, yes it is leaner % of fuel. Jetting increase should be done.

Another debate turned into dick measureing, panty twisting. I saw no dyno threads by any responders in this thread. So .............................

1987 Banshee Owners Manual calls for 20:1 break-in and 24:1 after. So, you all know more than factory engineers?

3rd party proof of "advancements" ? Not some advertising hype??? Hmmmm???

You posted while I was searching dyno forum Gravel.

Wish I could find article I read years ago showing that more oil produced more power, depending on cyl displacement.

If you're worried about cost of oil, you need a different hobby.

Tell me you don't run 24 to 1?

No jetting specs where listed by poster. With that said no one has said why a 16:1 ratio is bad in any set up. The other things I listed are jus for info. With all the pros posting in this post I don't need to say more

some oils to blend with gas at very thick ratios. Both R50 and benol don't mix with gas at 15:1. When you are mixing a gallon of fuel, 16:1 and 15:1 is the difference of .5oz of oil. Or if you think you have 1 gallon in the can, but really have .9, you are over 15:1.

Why are u quoting and posting to me. FFS

They dyno sheet in question was posted by M&M back in the day.  It did show 20:1 made more power then 50:1  Not 100% sure on the details as that was probably 5yrs or so ago.

I run 20:1 in my alky motors.  I'm not a fan of the theory.. "less is more"  when it comes to oil.
