Hey,

I have a 2001 yamaha banshee with a boost bottle. I like to rev the heck out of my banshee :) . I dont really go higher then 3rd gear. Mostly because I weigh alot and dont want to hit pot holes going fast. Instead of going in low rpm 3rd I would rather run it high rpm 2nd. My buddy put older style trinity pipes on his banshee. He lost his bottom end and had to put reds and stuff. I dont want to lose any bottom end. I dont really think I will mod my banshee any more then the boost bottle and pipes and sclincers. I will get the crome. I do want the best sounding pipes. I think the t5s sound good. What is the best sounding ones out there? Will I lose any power at all i.e. Throtle responce? When you gain top end does that mean that it takes off when you rev it higher. Are these pipes a direct replacement or do I have to cut plastic? Thanks for your help I really apreciate it! :D

well if your riding it in the low gears, and u want a great sound, and a non expensive pipe get a dynoport 2-1 i love mine great for bottom end, top end remains stock and it sounds like a indycar, www.dynoport.com

Most twin pipes sound pretty close to the same and sound shouldn't be that important compared to performance...You like to rev it, but you don't want to lose bottom end!!! Welcome to fantasy land...There is no such thing as a bottom, mid, top end pipe... If your not running much higher than 3rd gear, then a top end pipe is useless and you shouldn't have to Rev it out....sounds to me like you need a low end or midrange pipe a lot better. Excellent throttle response and powerband is always there when you hit the throttle...the high revs will have no power at low rpms and have a narrow powerband so you have to be at peak rpms all the time and constantly shifting....Get either a 2 into 1 pipe (which sound like an Indy car) or a set of midrange pipes like PTR mids...

The 2 into 1 pipe will give you more low end and equivilent to stock top end. The midrange pipes will give you a little more all around from bottom to top over stock....

yes you do loose the 2 silencers and just end up with one <_< but it sounds like thats whats for you but if your still wantin more bottom along with more top keep dreamin but i would go for a set of fmf's gnarlys or the fattys they are the same or a set of pt mids. and a set of dmcs those are nice you'll be happy with what eveer you get.

I think you'll like any mid or low end pipe. Here is my suggestions from most bottom gain to all around gain...

2 into 1

Ptr mids

fmf sst's

Bills

fmf golds

Dmc

Does top end mean you go in a high gear like 5th or 6th? Or does it mean that you rev it high in all the gears? Did anybody put T5s or T6s on a stock quad? If so did you lose any botom end? I dont care If I dont really improve bottom end I just dont wana lose any. Thanks

If your only riding between 1-3rd gear then you'll hardly ever rev it....High revs means the motor revs higher, but if your tossing between 1st and 3rd gear, then your hardly ever revving for any period of time... most of the time your at the lower of mid of your rpms and climbing to the higher rpms...thats where the mids would shine.....Loose the idea of high revs and get low to mid pipes...I've owned over 7 different pipes and tried just about everything on the market...every pipe has its place and high revs are not yours....

well if ur looking to keep bottom end power, dont get toomeys, they are a top end pipe, go with fattys or sst's, they sound not bad after i herd som1 with over the beach, i take it u do trail riding or somthing bcuz ur in such low gears ;)

I have the TR6 pipes. When I just had the pipes, I ran 280 jets, 25 pilot. You wont notice any bottom end lose, except when your chugging around on some trail and then try and rip it open. The T6 is a great all around pipe, but bottom is not its strong point. I think the T6's sound just as good, if not better than the t5's. If your going to be doing a lot of trail riding this is not the pipe for you. You will find that your working the gears a lot. If you do a little of everything like me, you will love these pipes. As for getting T5's or T6's? Buy the better deal, both pipes are great and the power difference is miner. Personally if I didn't have the T6's I would have the pt mids. They have better bottom end than the toomeys do, and dont lose that much top to them.

In short.......

If your just going to be ripping around on them get the toomeys, great power and sound mean.

If your doing a lot of trails, the toomeys hate to putt over montains.
