sprinklerman
Properly maintained, with outerwear, they're fine. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
Sandking
Wrong, k&n with outerwear works great in sand.
Vincip92
What would be a better choice a k&n or a pro design Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
lil Doobie420
Knns are good for sand but not for dusty riding .
Vincip92
Considering every time I do ride trails it seems to turn into a dust storm I guess I'm gonna have to go with the foam filter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
oldskool
Are you going to use your box or run pods?
dirtydownunder
foam filter will filter more but not flow as much as a kn and clog up pretty fast in real dusty environments. if you get foam filters get a few 2nd stage foams.
salmon_slayer06
IMO a properly oiled K&N with an outerwear prefilter is the best filter to use. I spary down the air box with a light mist as well as the intake to catch an fine dust. After a few weekends I'll wash the air box and prefilter and wipe the intake to see if its dirty. I'll never use foam

Justintoxicated
I hate K&Ns but your options are pretty limited on Banshees due to limited space and the need for a high flow filter. I like the new reusable synthetic dry flow filters better, but they need to be pretty big to flow. Go with a K&N and outer wears if your stuck running pods, or really even if your using the airbox. Yes dust can and will get past it, but at least it's a 2-stroke with an easy rebuild. Edited July 27, 2015 by Justintoxicated
Banshee Chad
K&n with outer wear.. Oil it right and it'll only need cleaned a few times a year riding dunes.
special06shee
K&n for sand. Foam filters for ANYTHING else.
