RX-B Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Hi I have a bone stock banshee 2010 and I would like to up grade my exhaust system but need some advice which one to buy. I mostly do trial riding. I plan to put an exhaust system and new air filtration set up. What do you guys recommend on exhausts and air filtration set ups. Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Bennett131 Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 I've ran a few different pipes on stockish bikes, my favorite were T6...but that depends on what your plans are down the road. Quote
RX-B Posted July 9, 2015 Author Report Posted July 9, 2015 Thanks for the replies guys. ZillaFreak- Most of my ride is about 700 metres above sea level and rare times sea level on the dunes. I just want to put the pipes n filter now and in future some work on the motor if needed. I'd like to keep the motor as durable as possible if you advise any mods that will help. Ride in mud all the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
burgy1976 Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 I would not buy off of dyno numbers because any pipe would give you the seat of the pants upgrade you are looking for. I ran the same riding style you do on my stock bike with T5's and loved them. My buddies ran 916's and FMF fatties. I preferred the T5's with 916's being second; the 916's sound ridiculously awesome. I would get the pro design adapter plate and K&N filter and take the lid off. Quote
RX-B Posted July 9, 2015 Author Report Posted July 9, 2015 Thanks guys I'm gonna upgrade everything zillaFreak recommend. Any recommends on starting point for rejecting with those mods? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
gusto Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 (edited) SLP hands down for a trail bike. Big HP, big TQ, and comes on early. Edited July 9, 2015 by gusto 1 Quote
trickedcarbine Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 I would say fuck T5's....... But here is my list of favorite options in order. 1. Trinity stainless inframes (if you haven't rode them STFU) 2. SLP's 3. DMC 916 or the dual silencer 1 Quote
trickedcarbine Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Dasa took over trinity and will continue the stage4 exhaust. Quote
Strm Trpr Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 If you trail ride and get to open areas then DMC 916's are the ONLY way to go. Anyone who has them will vouch for this. They make tons of useable power. Definitely a proven pipe. 916's will outperform T5s in every circumstance, the T5 power band sucks! Can you elaborate more no this? Quote

burgy1976 Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 I must have a completely different riding style than most. I like to be in up RPM's all the time, I never lug it. T5's don't have the low-end of the DMC's. The light switch powerband, with some clutch finesse, always worked in the woods and on the strip for me. Quote

CPI and Snipers own T5s in the mid and upper rpm. Just about every other pipe owns T5s in the lower and mids. Either way, T5s compromise too much. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk Quote
burgy1976 Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 That's exactly what I did; mild port job done, 28 MM carbs, boyesen rad valves and milled head. (I was already running +4 timing) Rode like that for a month with T5's then bought SB CPI's. I couldn't have been more impressed with the CPI's. I would have recommended CPI's but I don't know how they like stock port and carbs. Quote
Bennett131 Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 I'm going to post cpi for sale later...just sayin. Quote
