98_Shees2fast
So im putting new stock a arms and tie rods on my shee today. Well i got everything off and reassembled, but when i put it back together the tierod on the spindle wouldnt go down tight. I can get a few threads of the nut on, but also when tightening it the shaft spins on the tierod itself. Impact gun or is the tie rod bad? Any help is appreciated... hoppedupandcutdown
Still, chase the threads on both the nut and rod end first. And are putting it in the right way? -- It's happened.

Bennett131
It's supposed to spin, there should be a taper on the spindle and the ball joint end.

SAVAGE420
Put upward pressure on it so it wont spin. I use a floor jack under ball joints and whatnot then crank down the nut if they're being a bitch,

98_Shees2fast
Should this also help the tierod end seat in the spindle
SAVAGE420
Sure. Just go slow and it will work. Also spray a little WD-40 in the tapered holes. Makes life easier and onto the next beer quicker.
