Rapture
Just want your opinions on this... Have rebuilt the rear caliper with new pads and bled the system about 4 times. 3 times with a vacuum pump (similar to mityvac) and reverse bled them. Im 99.9% sure theres no air in the lines. However, the pedal travel is ridiculous. All the sliders are free and lubed, no leaks, but i have noticed the caliper "rocks" slightly when the pads have made contact. Any ideas? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyh89mO02BY&feature=youtu.be
Deadbeat
pull that excess line down instead of looped up like that and bleed it again
Sandking
There's probably air in the master cylinder. Unbolt it, flip it upside down and remove snap ring at the bottom. When fluid starts to escape put it back together and bleed it.
toytech
if you unbolt the caliper put an extra pad in it and hold it up higher then the master it will bleed out better.
Rapture
Tried all of these and its still crap. The rod coming from the MC moves about 10mm before theres even any resistance.

Deadbeat
crimp the line close to the master with a g-clamp, if it still spongey like that youve snagged an o-ring or something
Rapture
Clamped the line and the MC is rock hard. I think its something to do with the new pads not pressing on the disc squarely, so the caliper is flexing on the slides to compensate. Hopefully the pads will just wear to the angle of the disc in time.
sheerider1026
Is the caliper "floating" on the pins freely?
Rapture
Yeah all free and lubed. Perhaps they are just worn.
