Lilcez Posted May 28, 2015 Author Report Posted May 28, 2015 Just ordered some 300s. I got the 30s somewhere going to put these on before continuing with the engine break in. Thanks for the info Quote
sleeper06 Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 I recommend compression testing that motor reg pump might hurt it and timing too Quote
Lilcez Posted May 30, 2015 Author Report Posted May 30, 2015 Yea I haven't had a chance to do a compression test. I've been running premium gas on it though, I've heard people run 93 premium although here I only get 91? Bike starts in one kick every time and what can happen if I don't change the timing? Quote
sleeper06 Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 I'm not saying anything is wrong with what your doing but if it was me and saw anything over 145 I would get diffrent domes if you plan on 91 1 Quote
sleeper06 Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 I've seen bikes with port work kick 145 -155 with 21 cc domes , I did some math and they were safe for pump . Your not gonna go buy needed equipment to find uccr so static compr is all I have to by and past experiences with these motors, check compression , it's easy to do and will tell a decent amnt of clues 1 Quote
Darkblade Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 hey i have a stage 3 port job with a cool head and 21 cc domes 65mm wiseco 795 pistons vf4 reeds uni pod filters fmf gnarly pipes with power core 2 silencers running a hot-rods 4mil long rod crank and stock carbs my areas temperature is between 75 and 95 degrees my elevation is between 600 and 850 ft what main jet and pilot jet size should i use and what should my needle jet be set on thanks Quote
Lilcez Posted July 5, 2015 Author Report Posted July 5, 2015 Ok so I did compression and i got 125 per cylinder. Also did the +4 timing. Now that I'm riding the bike in high gears when I punch the gas it squirts gas out of the overflows. When I rev it at idle it doesn't do this nor does it spill gas when it idles I recently cleaned the carbs and replaced both plungers the old plungers weren't seating right and did cause overflow leak Quote
