sixstringninja024
So I just stripped another stud. This is the 3rd time this has happened since I got it. The first 2 times I used a cheap torque wrench. This time I used a Snap-On torque wrench and progressively torqued to 10, then 15, and at 21 foot pounds it still stripped it. Has this happened to anyone else?
do-work-son
are the studs to short and the acorn not grabbing enough thread?
sixstringninja024
They all had enough thread sticking out above the head that I was worried the acorn nuts would bottom out on the stud before actually getting tight.
joshuamstevens
Do yourself a favor. Re tap and install time serts. With new head studs.
