RadarRacing
38mm or bigger if its a dragbike. Lectrons, Keihins and Mikunis all have fans. 34-35mm carbs will only be down a couple hp on your stock cyl so if you have those you can keep em and convert them to alky to save a few bucks. For asphalt we only have experience with Keihins, but nothing wrong with the other's. It's more of a personal preference. We started with 35's, don't waste your time that small. ET/mph wise the 39-41s is the way to go & make a big difference over the 35s. I wouldn't get to hung up on running Alky. We started on Race gas, switched to Alky, then went back to Race gas. With the right Race gas, you can be just as fast as Alky. Our 1st set-up was an 7mm, 417cc stock cylinder. Then bored it to 68mm, 443cc. We then went to the 7mm Cub cylinders.
