Installed tors eliminator, new float needles, new intake, now shee won't start! Slides backwards

Recommended Posts

I got the float set exactly right with measuring tonight and I got it to start but it's EXTREMELY lean like no smoke at all coming out exhaust it must be because it was jetted for the slides being backwards and now it's way off. I must need to go bigger on the pilot but do I need a bigger main too?

Back the tang off a little when the float is horizontal the needle should seat with the bottom of the black nipple so its not giving alot of pressure onthe spring

So I turned the slides around backwards for shits and giggles and it fires right up and runs rich but it runs. ... wtf!!! When I originally took it apart the slides were backwards and the needle clip was on the 2nd position from top. I moved it to the middle. So now it's running more rich than when I first got the quad. Man the guy that had this was a knob!! So now where do I go from here? Obviously put slides the way they are supposed to be but if I go bigger with my pilot should that solve my problem? Or do I need to go richer with the needle since it's so lean with the slides the correct way?? Thanks alot
