The guy I got my shee off of said it's bored .05....does that sound right. or would it be .50? How would I measure to be sure cuz i need a piston asap. And where can I find a piston the size I need? bluebanshee7
the piston didnt fry magically, your going to burn another one up if dont you figure out why My carbs aren't synced that's why it fried I think. I just got my shee and don't know much about the motor, still learing. I'm ordering a carb sync tool too. Just need to figure out my piston situation. Build a leak down tester before going any further. 2nd, buy or download a Clymer manual.
sheerider11
It sounds like your trying to order one piston. Is that what your doing? Are you just going to throw a new piston in and call it good?

98_sheester
Your jets prolly arent correct in the carb but yes do a leak down test and better get those cylinders checked out first kiddo
sleeper06
Doubt the sync blew it , leakdown before tear down or your guessing. Carb sync is a tuning and set up thing , it won't blow your shit up

Are you just going to throw a new piston in and call it good? Not at all, i want to do everything I need to do to make my quad running correctly. I just have little knowledge on what I should do first And what other stuff I need to do to get it back to normal.
bluebanshee7
Your jets prolly arent correct in the carb but yes do a leak down test and better get those cylinders checked out first kiddo I'd rather not deal with all the upgrades so would I be able to buy stock parts and put it back to stock? Or are there problems going that route too?

I took my coolhead off already tho Can I put It back on and do the test still? And one of the small o-rings that go around the studs was busted. Will that cause a leak?
