BIGSNOR
Hey guys my wife was riding one of the banshees and it ran fine, she parked it, and forgot to turn the gas off on the pingle. I went back to start it a couple hours later (not knowing she left gas on) and the bike kicked over about a quarter turn and then would not turn over at all after that. Like its seized up. I just got the right exhaust off and it was full of gas...... do I need to pull the motor and take off jugs etc, or does anyone have an idea wtf happened lol. I figured she seized it. But she said it ran great and she shut it off. I pulled plugs and they look fine. No metal fragments etc good color. Just don't wanna pull the motor if it's something easy to fix....

98_sheester
Are you saying you can kick it over past a quarter or it wont kick over now? Take your cover off and check the kicker idler gear...is there trans fluid in there lol
willaduncan
Yup hydro locked Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BANSHEE HP
Hydro locking can bend rods.... When it was kicked over its was trying to compression liquid and not air. Taking the pipes off and tipped the bike forward could get all the fuel out. Take the plugs out and try to roll the motor over. The damage may already be done or it may simply just need to be drained.
Larry's Shee
One or both cylinders and/or crank area is full of fuel. Pull plugs and pipes and let it evap out. Would be easier to pull carbs and stand it up on grab bar and let majority drain out.
Strm Trpr
Remove fuel tank. Pull plugs. Put it in gear and push it. The pistons will push all of the fuel out thru the spark plug holes like a geyser. Reassemble and run it.
sheerider11
TURN THE BIKE OFF BEFORE KICKING!!!!! Last thing you need is a spark to ignite the fuel spraying all over. Seen it happen at work with a lawn mower. Plug cap was to close to head, as the guy pulled all the fuel coming out ignited
Strm Trpr
^^^ Damn bro, thanks for stating that. I would've thought that was obvious.
BIGSNOR
I'd say it bent a rod when we tried to pull start it before I knew what was going on. It won't kick over at all, or roll period. Expensive lesson to learn.
lil Doobie420
Did u ever getthe fule out and get it to kick over?
Deadbeat
if you only got a quarter turn out of it before it locked, it could be fine
J-Madd
Bent rod for sure.
BIGSNOR
Yes got all the fuel out. Still won't turn over. Won't downshift either for some reason....may have more going on than a bent rod, but probably have that also.
