Pun242
I recently bought a 2006 banshee when I got it it was running fine but wasn't shifting properly. I took the clutch side casing off and found that the shift shaft adjustment screw was broken. I replaced the screw nut and lock washer. When I installed the clutch basket and the plates back on correctly and tighten everything down to the right specs. Today when I put the banshee in gear the its Iike its in neutral! I can see the star moving and shifting correctly but it's like it's just in neutral. I know that when you have a bike in gear and you don't sink the clutch the bike wouldn't move! So I really don't kno what the problem is. A friend said that it might be the drive shaft not linning up or it could be snapped!
hoppedupandcutdown
Did you put the outer pressure plate on in the right spot? Engaging the splines?
Pun242
Well the plate has 3 arrows on it I'm sure I lined it up correct. But would that be the case why it's not taking a gear. Meaning the tires are just moving freely
Rigid_Banshee
Line one of those arrows up with the arrow mark on the clutch basket should be fine after.

Pun242
Nope! If the clutch basket is out and I shift it into gear the tires should still lock up right?
sheerider11
Nope! If the clutch basket is out and I shift it into gear the tires should still lock up right? No. If the basket is out it'll roll free.
