jeff n
I just picked up a 2000 Shee with a vitos 4mil crank with spacer plate, vitos ported.080 over pistons, pro desigh cool head and intake, stock carbs, Toomey t5's, k&n pods, boysen reeds, stock cages, no porting, no port match. Carbs are out of sync and netting is way off. I put it in the shop today and am having trail/play port, port match, carbs synced and dyno tuned. What kind of dyno numbers should I expect? dirtydownunder
30hp on one dyno 115.3 on another. dyno shmyno would be close to a 450 dirt bike, dirtbike would prolly just pull away
jeff n
The shop is Jsr in Wichita. If I only asked the shop doing work, how would I know if I'm getting the whole truth. I believe John is honest and does good work but I also believe that it is a good idea to get more than one opinion.

Larry's Shee
Should have asked if it was worth it to drop coin into 80 over jugs.
jeff n
I haven't asked jsr for hp estimate yet. Because the carbs are so far out of wack they're checking a bunch of stuff before they start the rest of work. I was hoping for around 70hp. jeff n
What about that 80 over comment? Is that as far as they can go before they need replaced? I got a very good deal on the bike and John is giving me a good deal on the work being done.
sleeper06
I don't worry much about bore size usually. I have motors last years without needing a bore. If you use a compression guage to monitor your ring life and replace as needed it can last s long time. Obviously you need to make sure tune is correct carbs are always clean , and a good ear for problems and you'll be fine. Don't be that guy that thinks it clear itself out if it's not running properly.
jeff n
When the jugs hit the end, can they be resleeved or do they have to be replaced?
98_sheester
Im not sure about 4 mils but if they have that niklesil or what ever its call on the inside but those cant be sleeved i dont think but you should be able to sleeve it if not but im not a 4 mil expert
n2otoofast4u
If they are stock just with average port work more often than not it is more economical to just buy new cylds and have them ported.
