uman1030
Fatten the pilot up to 30, common issue with the vf4s, they like a fatter pilot.

uman1030
my stocker did the exact same thing. I was running a 27.5 pilot and the machine ran great untill i installed the vf4. Then it had a dead spot just off idle. I also realised that my FMF pipes call for a 30 pilot so i changed that and the dead spot disapeared.

RadarRacing
If you can get it to almost die when you crack the throttle right off idle then richening the needle clip position, pilot , and richening (turning in) the airscrew is usually what is needed. Just like stated above but also needle position. I usually do needle clip position if starting and idling are fine. To richen needle , drop the clip which raises the needle. uman1030
No i do not have the 4s but fmf does call for 30 but my 27.5 dont give us any problem So you really dont have a clue if HE needs to richen the pilot or not since you dont even have the same reeds as him anyways?
