Glorfindel Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 So i was ridding then one cylinder shutted down. It didnt did like a seized one, it just stop working. So when i came back to my house, i checked the plugs and they were nice color, compression is ok and the spark plugs are working (i got spark). Both carbs got fuel. So i tough it's a carb problem, the left one, with the choke. I desassembled both carbs, jetts, floats everything, cleaned it etc... Now it flood the left cylinder lol!! The right one is working ok. When i shut-off the fuel valve, the engine finaly work ok for some seconds before drying the carbs...So it cant be other thing than the left carb flooding. Re-do the cleaning...Still flooding....The float is working ok... Help me... Thx. Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 Your needle is sticking. Take the float out and clean the seat with a q tip and toothpaste then make sure that the needle or seat isn't grooved up or has any Knicks. Quote
98_sheester Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 To keep you it flooding out the long breather hoses i take it? your float isnt either set right or your tang on the float is too open so when your bowl fills up the float isnt shutting your valve all the way so it keeps giving to much gas. Make sure your float needle is still pointed not round also when you clean it. Quote
Glorfindel Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) But it worked before... That mean that i twisted something when cleaning it the first time. .. Edited April 19, 2015 by Glorfindel Quote
98_sheester Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Could have or you could have tweaked the tang jus a bit trying to put your float back in Also might have pushed the valve too much and pushed the point in. Take a pic of your carb right side up with your float open and one with you holding the float level Quote
Glorfindel Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Posted April 19, 2015 It look good to me. I just set the float height to 21mm. Going to reassamble the thing once again. Quote
Glorfindel Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Posted April 19, 2015 Reinstall and synch the carbs, still doesnt work, I think i will start to look at the electrical departement (bad spark) Quote
98_sheester Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Use some dielectric grease on all your component's and clean your stator pick ups Quote
Glorfindel Posted April 20, 2015 Author Report Posted April 20, 2015 Use some dielectric grease on all your component's and clean your stator pick ups Thx for the input man, will try to fix that this week!! I did clean the handle bar (remorve key switch and put lights on a little switch) maybe i fucked up something (ground wise)... But it was working for at least one fuel tank before problems starts...
