arena314
Ok so I got an 03 banshee and the guy I got it from said it needs to be jetted bc it wasn't running right so I jetted it and tuned it and it ran perfect the only strange thing is when I was riding it and would let off the throttle it would stay at high rpms for a 5 to 10 seconds to go down to idle again but I didn't think much of it then after about 20 out of nowhere the rpms jumped like crazy and wouldn't stop climbing until I kill the engine and when I started it back up itb would do it again and again. I come to the conclusion that it may be a bad throttle cable but I really don't know. It has a tors eliminator kit so it's definitely not that. What do you think it is? Think it could be the fuel cable? Let me know. Thanks
uman1030
you didn't mention what you changed the jetting to? This could be useful information if accompanied with a list of your engine mods and air filter style? Usually a maladjusted cable will raise the throttle when you turn the wheel if its too tight. More then likely jetting or an air leak. I would lean more towards an air leak if it is getting increasingly worse.

arena314
If they screw all the way Down doesn't that mean there in right? It seems to look like there in right

arena314
Would you be able to send a pic of how they should look in the carbs? And if they fit in and screw Dien doesn't that mean there in right?
bigweav81
Have you taken your carbs apart lately? Its simple to look down your air box, and see if your cut outs are facing you. No you can put the wrong slides in the wrong carb, and still screw it down....just go look. Sent from your mammy house
arena314
They were apart when I re jetted them. And is the problem I'm having a result of the slides being in wrong? I can't check right now bc I'm not home to look at my carbs
bigweav81
I just read through this. Sounds like an airlleak, could be jetting. If your slides are in wrong it will run like shit. Look everything over. Always a good idea to do a compression test, and leak down test when you buy something. Most of the time shady ass people will pass a problem off as something easy to fix. If it revs to the moon by itself, you have an airleak! Sent from your mammy house
arena314
I was thinking that but I can get it to idle normally. I was riding it around and it would idle Down and idle all day then it randomly started doing it. It would ride fine but after 20 or so minutes of riding it happened.
