Gumball12 Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 I lucked out I just bought a like new Elka Rear Stage 4 shock off a warrior. It is set up to my specs 180lbs aggressive trail for $250. Have not received it yet but photos look great. I already have stage 3 in the front. From what I measured I should not have any problems getting it to fit. same eye to eye as the stock banshee shock. Am I going to have any trouble? Thanks Quote
Pastrykiller Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 Just because it has the same eye to eye measurement doesnt mean anything. You need to measure the actual exposed shaft to ensure that you have the same travel length. Quote
Gumball12 Posted March 27, 2015 Author Report Posted March 27, 2015 Don't have the Elka to measure but they seem to be the same...now you have me nervous. I photo shopped the elk pictures and the banshee stock pictures and when I line up the eyes, the exposed shaft seems to be the same length Quote

Pastrykiller Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 No need to be nervous until you get them. keep us posted Quote
Scrubby Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 The shock was valved for the warrior, does it have the same linkage as a banshee? that will effect dampning at different amounts of travel if its different. Quote
MacRacer1 Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 Warrior linkages are quite a bit lower Quote
MacRacer1 Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 People probably won't be interested in it until you actually have it. Quote
Scrubby Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 He can always get it revalved, and set up correctly by sending it out. just time and money. Quote
Pastrykiller Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 Thats an easy statement to make when the upper body might need replaced as well as the shaft. You can find yourself paying the same amount of money for a repair as you would a new one. Been down that road. Quote
Scrubby Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 That was my point kinda, I just hope Elka sold a bunch with that deal they had running. It was too good to pass up. Quote
alcoholbanshee Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 They must have sold a shit ton. I have been waiting over 6 weeks now......... Quote
bansman76 Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 ^^^ ive been waiting for 5 weeks now. wish they would come on lol Quote
Gumball12 Posted March 30, 2015 Author Report Posted March 30, 2015 Got ahold of Eric at Elka today and he informed me that it is the exact same rear shock that they use on the Banshee. Kind of thought so. I did not think many would fork out the big bucks for the Warrior. Have not yet got it though.. Quote
Gumball12 Posted March 30, 2015 Author Report Posted March 30, 2015 Got in a bit of a rush and went this rout mainly for money and I did not want the season to be over before I received anything new. Quote
