LaegerEliminator Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Clamp my breather tube shut as wellYou should not be building any pressure into the tranny or clutch area. If you hear air out the breather there is a leak. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk Quote
Rage_kage Posted March 24, 2015 Author Report Posted March 24, 2015 Leak down FAIL! are you sure you had all your leak down componets sealed tight? if so, drain trans, pull clutch cover off, pull stator cover off and get ur squirt bottle of soapy water ready. do test again and start spraying seals and intake, and around the case halves in front, see where she bubbles,That's gonna be tommrow its getting cold and dark out now. I cranked the freeze plugs in and used 5/16 hose clamps on the PVC with a 1/4" wratchet Quote

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk That was dumb of me. The lower end would be pulling vacuum not making pressure. Quote
LaegerEliminator Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Start over fresh tomorrow. Use a bicycle tire pump to build pressure up to 6 lbs then wait and listen. Start diagnosing from there. Use your ears and the bottle of soapy water. Did you seal your PTO side key and key way? Its a good thing you took the time to do the leak down test! Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 1 Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 So if I take my dip stick out and put my finger over the hole and feel it build pressure I'm in trouble?Yes. Use soapy water in a Windex bottle and spray everything. 1 Quote

Rage_kage Posted March 25, 2015 Author Report Posted March 25, 2015 I found a hose to fit my PVC. I'm going to pressure test my setup just to eliminate that first. Quote
camp0429 Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Pay attention to intakes too, mine leaked like hell after rebuild Quote
LaegerEliminator Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 What do you seal it with? Yamabond? Yes. Then I also used blue Hylomar on my crank seals on my last rebuild. This seemed to work well. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 1 Quote
