troyzstang
Should I run a vertical support bar from the lower two bars up to the single adjustable bar? Thanks Troy
Surfrjag
You dont have to but a peice of 7/8" .049 will slide right over that 3/4" peice so you can still turn it. Also consider another brace in the lower bars if you dont put the upper brace in.
troyzstang
Thanks Surf. Yeah I have a couple of lower pieces to weld in. The vertical support would be set with heim joints so the upper bar would still be able to spin when the bar is not secured. But will the vertical bar make the entire set up to rigid? Surfrjag
More heims means more weight.. If you have just one bar you might want it more ridge. Easier to bend one than 2.

SlowerThanYou
This is our 3 bar set-up, we use this for asphalt & sand. For the sand it gets a larger dia. single wheel in the center. We run 3 cross supports across the bottom bars. The only thing I want to add is 1 or 2 diagonal bars between the cross bars. This bar has helped us attain low 1.30 60's on both asphalt & sand/dirt.
