Hunter3473
Anyone know how to repair choke plunger that will not stay out? I took carbs off and there thoroughly cleaned inside and out but the choke plunger still will not stay out I have to hold the plunger out and kick. Not to big of a deal but would like it to work as it should. Is there a little retainer clip or something that holds the plunger in place when engaged? Hunter3473
Is there supposed to be a clip or something on the grooves?

Motooutcastxxx
Just buy a new one.. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=
BANSHEE HP
Do not buy a new one... pull the plunger, hold it with needle nose pliers, take a small file and file the notch.
Hunter3473
Which notch do I file? The ones underneath the spring or the bigger notch near the "handle"
Hunter3473
A new one is 40$ if it's a free fix I'll try that first plus I really dont need the choke but would like everything to work as it should.
BANSHEE HP
There are 2 notches. When you fully extend the plunger you see them. Closer one to the knob is half choke, the further one is full choke
BANSHEE HP
You can pull the spring to one side, hold it with the needle nose and then file. Whatever is easier
Motooutcastxxx
Thought they were a little cheaper than that actually, I just hold the choke plunger out if I need it.. But I will certainly try this fix out myself at some point!
