trickedcarbine
I played with a set of them briefly. The guy who did a 4mm that I beat up all winter is more in the sled world so he is in with the folks at SLP. They come on like what an FMF would and just freight train right up to 9,000 RPM. But the sign off is pretty abrupt. They reminded me of rockets but everything happens about 250-500 RPM sooner. If you are in trails, twisties, and idiot holes, MX, these are for you. But if you wanna be wide open down logging/fire roads, dunes, open gravel pits you honestly might not be to stoked because of the way they sign off. croyboy
Thank you!! I ride tight trails and dunes. So the low end is important, but want good top end when we hit dirt roads and the dunes. With the cylinder pitting issue I didn't have time to wait for a builder to get new cylinders and porting. Put it together as cast with domes from Jeff and picked up a set of used CPI for now. Next fall plan to look into further options when riding season is over.
locogato11283
I agree with tricked... For trails and tight stuff the SLP look to be great pipes. For a dune pipe I would run Snipers.

RagunCajun
I just can't get past the look of the silencers........just my opinion but it ruins the look of them. If they they perform the best for a certain persons needs/engine combo, then they would just get the expansion chambers and stingers then get some different silencers welded on. lil Doobie420
Rust on chain would not ride....

That's just way to much trouble. Give them honest feedback and maybe they could come up with SLP II's with a cleaner design. Why would I buy new pipes then have to spend money to mod them? To each his own. It's my personal opinion, not starting a pissing match.
RagunCajun
Not sure why you would, but if that's what i wanted, i would do just that. With the price some people spend on a bike build, a little extra is just a drop in the bucket. That's why. Carry on. 87sheerips
SLP....They RIP. I don't notice it falling out on top at all, only restricted by gearing and these small MX tires. Can't wait to hit the sand. They are ready to ship. $572 to your door.https://vimeo.com/123680541https://vimeo.com/123680957https://vimeo.com/123681053https://vimeo.com/123681127
