yfz440 Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 anyones paul turners ever fit like shit??? i just put mine on and i was afraid i was gonna have to break them??? not happy about that Quote
Banchetta Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 My mids were the best fitting pipe I've ever had...The silencers are shaped around the air box and uses all 3 bolt holes from the stock exhaust where most aftermarket pipes only use 2...I was impressed w/ my exhaust. I can't see the high revs being much different, but I"m thinking about ordering a set of headers for some duning and possibly dragging.... 1 Quote
tats4life Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 If your high revs fit like shit, call Loren and tell him. He'll should send you a new set if you got them from him? Quote
yfz440 Posted November 25, 2003 Author Report Posted November 25, 2003 sadly i didn't get them from lauren.. but yea i had to file down my stock airbox to get one pipe to fit.. and are they suppposed to be that loud?? Quote
tats4life Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Define loud. Mine pop pretty loud when choked but nothing strange. What did you use to clamp the pipe and silencers together with? You might be blowing exhaust out throu there. On non-ported cylinders the pipes are kinda quiet, on ported cylinders the sound bad ass. Did you buy the pipes new or used? If you had to file down the side of your airbox then the pipes was surely bent. Quote
Banchetta Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Agreed, my pipes don't even come close to my airbox, thats why I like them so much, no melting...maybe your frame is tweeked?? or used pipes off a tweeked frame?? Mine were no louder than any other pipe. They are now since I used a real dense packing, but when I got them, they were the same db as any other pipe and has a nice ping at an idle... Quote
yfz440 Posted November 28, 2003 Author Report Posted November 28, 2003 i guess they're tweaked of sumthin then... i'll just get them bent back to stock. anyone have pt fatboy turn downs for sale? Quote

guns4children Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 You looking into new pipes huh? Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk I always liked the way they looked and I couldn't remember hearing anything about the hi revs. I still don't know anything about them lol Quote
RagunCajun Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 They sure looks far easier to get the spark plugs in/out. Still easily over $1000 new for chrome with silencers. And people bitch about CPI's and shearer prices brand new. 1 Quote
bigweav81 Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 They are for sure unique. I've read a few times the mids out performed the highs. Seems strange, but who knows. Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk Quote
