Mac92shee Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Wondering if With brand new stock carbs that came with 200 mains. If switching from 200 to 300 would I have to make float bowl adjustments to let more fuel in. (Since I'm using more) mods are PC pipes no airbox and uni pods and tors delete. Chock tube is sealed. Thinking I have to adjust the tab on the floats. Elevation 500 ft. Temperature right now is about 40 degrees. Will be 60-70 in a couple months. Thank you Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 You can get a little more fuel in the bowls that way but you flirt with having excess run out the over flow. In all reality, you're probably more then fine just swapping the main jet. It takes a bit more motor to start sucking bowls dry. If you do find your self out flowing the bowl, you can actually get Billit bowls from Driveline Performance for a great price. Quote
sprinklerman Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 I've ran alky motors on stock carbs before . ( 350 stock cyl, one float removed, modded petcock, 300'.) I doubt you'll suck them dry on gas. Quote
Mac92shee Posted March 9, 2015 Author Report Posted March 9, 2015 What could cause my banshee to cut out when I get to 4th gear then? Sometimes it won't do it till 5th or 6th Quote
Larry's Shee Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Clean your tank, pet cock, screen, and cap vent. Then double check float level and clean bowls Quote
Mac92shee Posted March 9, 2015 Author Report Posted March 9, 2015 Ok thanks for the replying guys. I'm a mechanic and haven't had much time to mess with it. Any more ideas? Quote
