prosite@live.com
Found a coolant leak between cases. so wondering if I split the cases and apply new rtv will the surface area has to be 100% oil free before applying it ? And after I put the rtv how long do u have to wait before you put the cases together ? And how soon can I ride it after this rebuilt ? Thanks for help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Surfrjag
there should be no coolant in the case so its coming from somewhere else like the head most likely
prosite@live.com
But I did the leak down and passed it Then took the bike for a spin and noticed that left pipe is smoking and gets hoter then the right pipe. And it really bugged me so I stopped riding it The next day I come to garage and noticed I have 3-5 drops of coolant on the ground. I'm using all new gaskets and Orings on coolhead. Not sure where're it's coming from so I assumed it was from cases I have 150 psi from both cylinders Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

dirtydownunder
could be leaking from the coolant plugs under the cylinders.
sheerider11
could be leaking from the coolant plugs under the cylinders. That's what I was thinking. But I would start with a GOOD cleaning. That thing is a horrible mess.

Larry's Shee
seen a pigs ass cleaner. But it was a 4-H pig. Clean that fucker up pussy clean. Then start it, let run a bit, without riding, shut off, look for leak. Using baby powder helps in finding leak.
sprinklerman
Could also be leaking from the head to side cover hose and leaking through the drain hole in case.
