hoppedupandcutdown
I hate to sound like a broken record, but, are you just positive the splines are lined up and engaged on the plate and hub?
aleyesonme
I hate to sound like a broken record, but, are you just positive the splines are lined up and engaged on the plate and hub?Not at all..I appreciate it all. But yes I'm sure. If it was on wrong I noticed there would be a gap. But there isn't. And the pressure plate is seated against the clutch fiber
hoppedupandcutdown
I tried help a guy just last night with the same problem. He was certain it was the thickness of 1 washer on the pancake bearing holding it out, and went back to the stock pusher/adjuster. I have a plate and hub in my hands and there ain't much room in there if there was a nut and trans shaft bolted in there. But have never had such a problem myself. Did you have the hub off? Is a thick washer behind the basket and 1 behind the hub?
aleyesonme
well there is a washer along with the pancake bearing, but like I said worked just fine that way before. I changed the clutches. did your friends start working once your friend went back to the stock adjuster?
aleyesonme
7 disk clutch kit on an 8 disk clutch lmfaoWhat makes you say that? Why would it need 8? The kit I got came with 7.....is this possible? ?
hoppedupandcutdown
well there is a washer along with the pancake bearing, but like I said worked just fine that way before. I changed the clutches. did your friends start working once your friend went back to the stock adjuster? He actually put it together with only one washer on the pancake bearing, so it will be a f**ked up mess as soon as he starts it.

aleyesonme
The pusher rod, or whatever the eccentric screw housing is called, was sticking to far out due to the eccentric screw being screwed to far in. Meaning the pressure plate kept hitting that big stationary washer prematurely and not grabbing the clutches snugly.
