aleyesonme
Hello, I simply changed the clutches cause I thought it was time since I ran the old ones for a year...ran just fine....all I did was change them, now it won't engage, just sits there when I let off the clutch. I even went back in and adjusted the eccentric screw so the actuator lines up with the arrow on the cases. Still nothing...please help, what else could cause this issue. aleyesonme
I'm pretty sure it's lined up correctly, went by the manual...but I'll check again right now

sheerider11
Clutch cable on? Did you start with a fiber? And end with a fiber? Are they all in? Soaked in oil prior to install? Actuator rivot not pulled through?
aleyesonme
Yes, cable is on, yes 7 fibers and six steels, yes they are all in, fibers were soaked prior to install. What do you mean actuator not pulled through? What do I look for?

special06shee
Your pressure plate HAS to be on wrong. Take it off and rotate one set of holes and try again
aleyesonme
Your pressure plate HAS to be on wrong. Take it off and rotate one set of holes and try againI DID....3 Times....every time I open it up, I'm looking for something wrong and everything looks right...the pressure plate suppose to seat against the last clutch fiber right? special06shee
Yea. Did you pull out the rod and ball? Did you reinstall them?
aleyesonme
Yea. Did the steel ball get reinstalled?Yes...never took it out...plus I checked to make sure it was there and it is. I was told that if the clutch plate is on correct, then u should be able to push the actuator and it would push the clutch out...which it did. Everything is lined up like the manual says and double checked and still NOTHING :-( :-(
aleyesonme
I did notice that when I turn the lockup that's on the pressure plate, it just spins, I would think that the pressure on the fiber would not allow it to turn, this is while the bike is off of course and In neutral. Is this normal?
special06shee
Ok, well if thats the case and the actuator is moving everything properly, then its sounds like a broken or a not properly routed clutch cable. Is the clutch cable mounted securely in the case by the actuator? If so, if you grab the cable up by clutch lever, can you pull the cable out? aleyesonme
Actually I just put a new cable on....its not on exactly like the old one, cause there's a lil spot where the old one came from that i can't get to...and still with the old cable still did the Same thing. The cable works just fine....am I suppose to be able to turn the lockup and pressure plate when the clutch lever is out?
