One of the is a sreamin products throtle cover, I cant seem to get the scratches out of it. It shines but you can see the scratches. On the other hand i also have a cascade block off plate, used the same polish and rubbing compound on it and it look great. Are the materials different? All the stuff I polish, I sand 90degrees from the last direction I sanded. I start at around 180 grit on aluminum, then 220, then 320. Then I use tripoli on a ventilated flap wheel, then I use white rouge on a loose section wheel. Also keep in mind that if you view your work under flourecent lighting, you WILL see every scratch in it. I think it has something to do with the wavelength of the light. Look at it under incadecent or sunlight. You should see the familiar whispy lines that change as you move the part. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
