NBGGUNNER Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 Ok so i have been looking around and reading alot of different posts on this subject and i am aware there isnt a best banshee pipe its all based on your riding type and what mods you have and or plan to put on. So heres what i have, a 2006 100% stock banshee (the only aftermarket part on it currently is a toomey rad) I mostly ride dirt trails/roads i never drag (nor plan to) and have never been to the dunes (i might some day) the only pipes i have experiance with are toomey t5s and t6s and i love them alot but its hard to dish out 700 plus bucks on the t5 kit but if there the best option i will. I dont plan on doing any major mods the only things that i would do are, a coolhead(will mostlikely get), timing plate(have one coming from chariot right now), jet(based on which pipes i get will determin what jets i get), airfilter(leaning towrds K&N), pipes, hi flow water pump and a arms. I think that should give enough info for some recommendations so please let me know what you guys think. Quote
NBGGUNNER Posted February 22, 2015 Author Report Posted February 22, 2015 oh and i would possiably upgrade the reed valves if its worth doing. Quote
NBGGUNNER Posted February 22, 2015 Author Report Posted February 22, 2015 You would recommend the dmc over the toomeys? Any particular reason Quote
trickedcarbine Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 ^ those or maybe give the SLP' a try. Quote
gusto Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 With the fact that your doing trails and the forum discount and the wicked hp/tq numbers I second SLP Quote
locogato11283 Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 I would run the SLP pipes. Quote
dankengineering Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 Paul turner mids are nice for trail/rec riding and since you dont drag at all you probably would like there pull.i have a set forsale along with boysen reed valves and new in the package a pro design filter kit minus the filter, i have 2 used k&n's in good condition i could throw in if interested. BANSHEEBEEFM2M Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 Shearer or cpi or slp's ftw Quote
bsock Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 I went CPI because I know this disease and I won't stop modding. If I could control it I was going to try Pro Circuit's. Brandon Quote
dailydrifter Posted February 24, 2015 Report Posted February 24, 2015 I have both the fmf sst pipes and the dmc 916 setup. I ride mostly tight trails and I think the dmc setup is better then the fmf sst. Not by much but it definitely is. Also sounds better. I can't speak for any other setup though. Quote
Uf21 Posted February 24, 2015 Report Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) You would recommend the dmc over the toomeys? Any particular reasonDMC 916 powerband comes on earlier and has as good a top end as the toomeys if not better plus they are probably one of the best sounding pipes Edited February 24, 2015 by Uf21 Quote
