I've been trying to do a 10mm motor for way to long and I've finally got my self in to a position where I have just about everything, now it's time to send it off to be set up by a builder. I've procrastinated for to long. I'm thinking of sending it to Arlen at LED. Just curious if anyone has had any engine work done there recently and how it went?

I don't think Arlan has many if any unsatisfied customers.

His DM pipes are absolutely the best you can buy at this time, both in quality and performance.

The only thing I would tell you is that he is very busy and I'm guessing his lead time is quite a while.

Did you use a twister smallblock topend?

LED is just like every other builder who does excellent work. He's busy and as far as I know only has one or maybe two employees.

Arlan is pretty big in the vintage dirt bike scene. As far as I know he's the only person who does custom hand coned pipes for the old 2-stroke dirt bikes.

Probably be a sweet setup to have him do the motor and the pipes.

That's the Idea. What most people don't realize is that Arlan not only had a hand in early monoblock development, but he was heavily involved with the CP industries development on the Honda platforms. He has also dominated the Flat Track/TT scene which is why I have been in contact. I don't need it right away. I had spoke with Chris, which is Arlan's right hand when it comes to making pipes. He seemed to really have it together.
