trickedcarbine
I'd at least pop the clutch cover and verify things are all the way they should be.

trickedcarbine
Ok, how bout the kicker gear? Is it wobbly? If it's starting to get play, it can spit the clip off if not fixed with a new bushing. And it can definitely be what's making the irregular ticking. mattycotter
I thought it was the piston tapping the top of the head but I took spark plugs out so there was no compression and slowly pushed the kick start down and yer you can hear a slight ticking noise when u push kick start Down I will check to see if the kicker gear is wobbly tomorrow and let u know what the go it
